Blind Woman Robbed In North Belfast

A blind woman has been robbed by two men in north Belfast.

The victim, aged 30, was walking through the Brown Square area at around 5.30pm on Tuesday when her handbag was taken by the thugs.

She was not injured, however she was left badly shaken by the incident.

Inspector Roy Watton said: "At approximately 5.30pm, two males approached a 30-year-old woman as she was walking along the road and grabbed her handbag before making off. The woman was not injured, however she was left shaken by her ordeal."

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
