Three Men Arrested After Man Seriously Attacked In Co Antrim

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was seriously attacked in Toomebridge, Co Antrim.

The assault happened outside licensed premises on the Hillhead Road at around 2am on Sunday.

The man sustained a serious head injury and is in a critical condition at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

The three suspects, aged 52, 24 and 20, have been detained by police for questioning.

Sinn Féin Ian Milne said: "The assault on this man in Toome in the early hours of Sunday morning has caused widespread shock in the local area.

"A man has been left in a very serious condition in hospital following this incident and hopefully he can make a full recovery.

"I would appeal for anyone with any information on this incident to bring it forward to the PSNI immediately."

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being found unconscious at a house in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The man was discovered at a property in the Dunclug Gardens area on Tuesday, 18 October. A 40-year-old man has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. Edward Kelly was sentenced to serve three-and-a-half years, half of his sentence will be served in custody and half will be served on licence, following his guilty plea last November.

Pedestrian Hit By Car In Co Down
A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Newtownards, Co Down. The incident happened at around 8am on the Belfast Road. The man, aged in his 30s, is in a serious condition at Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. The road has been reopened. No further details have been released.

Man Attacked In Co L'Derry
A man, aged in his 40s, has been seriously injured following an attack in Co L'Derry. The assault happened on the Garvagh Road in Dungiven in the early hours of Sunday, 12 November. The man sustained severe head injuries and is being treated in hospital. A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grevious bodily harm.
