Police Appeal Following Distraction Burglary In North Belfast

Police are appealing for information following a distraction burglary in north Belfast.

The incident happened in the Berlin Street area at around 1.30pm on Monday.

Two men called to the door of a man's house and told him that he needed new guttering, and he would have to check the back of the property.

The victim took one of the men in to the rear of the house and the other man remained at the door.

Police are warning the public to be cautious and are urging anyone with information to contact them.

BCC Welcomes Conviction Of Belfast Man For Dog Attack
Belfast City Council (BCC) has welcomed the conviction of a man at Belfast Magistrates Court for an offence involving a dog attack on a woman. BCC brought the prosecution against 43-year-old Stuart Grace, of Forthriver Crescent, Belfast, following a report that Mr Grace’s German Shepherd dog had attacked a woman, injuring her arm and back.

Man Left Shaken Following Distraction Burglary
Police in Newry are appealing for information after a man was left shaken following a distraction burglary. A man called to a house in Lower Dromore Road, Warrenpoint, and claimed to be from the council on Friday. The man took the male occupant of the house into the back garden.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
