Police Fail To Meet 50% Of Performance Targets
Police did not meet more than half of their performance targets last year, according to a report from the Audit Office.
Overall, the PSNI achieved 48% of measures with the remaining 52% not achieved.
Auditor General Kieran Donnelly said there is still room for further improvement.
He said: "A reduction number of targets would help to ensure that efforts are clearly focused on improving performance in line with strategic priorities."
The 2015-16 Plan comprises 11 outcomes, with 16 associated performance indicators and a further 41 associated performance measures.

NORTHERN Ireland Finance Minister Mark Durkan has launched new performance targets for the Construction Service Agency, which are directly aimed at improving the efficiency of the service for all Agency customers. Construction Service, a DFP agency, provides construction related professional support to the public sector.

Targets Achieved Says Invest NI
Invest NI has met or exceeded substantially all of its targets, and continues to witness high levels of interest in the 'product offerings' and its range of support programmes. According to the 2007-08 'Invest NI Annual Report and Accounts for Invest Northern Ireland' published this week, "Invest NI continued to deliver".

NI Policing Board Criticised
The Northern Ireland Policing Board has been criticised over the way in which it holds officers to account. An Audit Office report has stated there needs to be more precise targets on policing objectives and methods of measuring police performance. It said that last year's targets lacked clarity.

NI Health Trusts Missing A&E Targets
All A&E departments in Northern Ireland are missing targets of treating patients within four hours, according to a new report. The Health and Social Care Board (HSC) report has also highlighted that some emergency departments are performing much better than others.
