Several Shots Fired At House In Co Antrim

Shots have been fired at a property in Craigavon, Co Antrim.

The attack happened in the Drumellan Mews area at around 6pm on Tuesday.

No-one was injured in the incident.

A man on a bike fired several shots at the rear of the property, according to police.

He was wearing dark clothing and had a hat over his face.

Detective Inspector Brian Foster said: "I would appeal for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area, or who knows anything about this incident, to contact detectives at Lurgan Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Sinn Féin MLA John O'Dowd said: "While it is to early to be definitive about the nature of this attack it is clear that those who have brought guns on to our streets have endangered this community and put lives at risk.

"This area is a residential one and it was early enough in the evening that people would still coming and going.

"Those behind the attack need to be taken of our streets. They have no concerns for anyone other than themselves. I would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious to bring that information to the PSNI."
