Officers Injured During Police Pursuit

Three police officers have been injured following a police pursuit in north Belfast.

A vehicle failed to stop for police in the Shankill Road area at around 1pm on Monday.

A PSNI Land Rover was hit by a vehicle which was also being chased by a police car.

The police officers received minor injuries.

Another vehicle was also struck during the chase, however it is not known if anyone was injured.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested for a number of driving offences.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. A 54-year-old member of police staff who was arrested in County Antrim as part of ongoing investigations into the awarding of vehicle contracts has been released. The man was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and has been taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning.

Three In Hospital After Police Vehicle Collides With Another Vehicle
Two police officers and a civilian remain in hospital following a collision in Newry on Saturday, 13 April. It is understood that the police officers were travelling in a police vehicle to attend a separate incident at about 7.30pm when they collided with another vehicle on the Fathom Road.

Two police officers were injured and a man arrested after a police vehicle was deliberately rammed in the Maghera area on Tuesday, 18 November 2025. At approximately 10.20pm, police received a report of a van being driven at speed and swerving dangerously on the Glenshane Pass.

Police Officers Injured By Fleeing Vehicle
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after two police officers were injured when a vehicle made off from Police on Sunday evening, 17th July, in Downpatrick. Making the appeal, Inspector Frances McCullough said: "Shortly after 9.30pm officers stopped an Audi A3 to search the vehicle following suspected drug use in the Ardglass Road area.
