NI Temperatures To Plummet To Minus 2 Degrees

Temperatures in Northern Ireland are to plummet to -2 degrees tonight, 15 April, according to the Met Office.

Snow is also expected on higher grounds and frost in some parts.

On Saturday, isolated showers are expected in most places and moderate northerly winds. The maximum temperature is expected to be 9 degrees.

The temperature is to rise on Sunday, however there may be some light rain.

Yellow Weather Warning Issued For Parts Of NI
A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued by the Met Office for parts of Northern Ireland on Wednesday, 31 January. The weather warning comes into effect at 9.00 am and is due to remain in place until 5.00 pm with warnings that it could impact travel, cause power outages and lead to large waves in coastal areas.

Alliance Warns NI Must Catch Up On Bowel Cancer Surveillance
Alliance has warned that Northern Ireland must match the rest of the UK on surveillance of Lynch Syndrome, which is a genetic condition that increases the risk of bowel cancer. The party's Health Spokesperson, Paula Bradshaw said that gaps in data collection and reporting across the UK are "holding back Lynch Syndrome care".

Belfast has been ranked among the best mid-sized European cities as an attractive business investment destination, according to a major new benchmark report published today, Thursday 15 February. The FDi Intelligence 'European Cities and Regions of the Future 2024' report has ranked Belfast fifth overall compared to other mid-sized cities.

Arrest Made In Connection With Attempted Murder On 06 January
A man, aged in his 60s, has been arrested by PSNI detectives investigating an attempted murder in Ardmore, L'Derry last month. The arrest is part of an investigation by detectives into a report shots were fired at a house on Ardkill Road on the evening of Saturday 6th January.
