Man Charged With Attempted Murder

A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a bomb was left under a married police couple's car in Co L'Derry last year.

A device was discovered under the vehicle in Glenrandel in Eglinton on 18 June.

The suspect has been charged with attempted murder and possession of explosives with intent to endanger life.

The PSNI said it was a "clear attempt" to kill.

The suspect is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates' Court today, 09 May.

Man Arrested Over Larne Incidents

The 23-year-old suspect has been detained on suspicion of attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, hijacking and aggravated vehicle taking. A car was hijacked and shots fired at a property in Co Antrim on Monday, 11 September.

Teen Arrested In Connection With Coleraine Attack
A teenager has been arrested after two women were stabbed in County L'Derry over the weekend. The victims, both aged 22, were attacked while out walking in the Beresford Avenue of Coleraine at around 11.25pm on Sunday 13 January. They were taken to hospital for injuries which are believed to be serious but not life threatening at this time.

Investigation Launched After Man Fires Crossbow At Van In Co Antrim
Police have launched an investigation after a masked man fired a crossbow at a van in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim. The attack happened in the forecourt of a petrol station at Prince Andrew Way on Tuesday, 09 August. Two men who were in the van at the time escaped injury.

Carrick Rocked By Disturbances
Major disturbances in loyalist areas of Carrickfergus at the weekend were bad enough to close roads for a time. At one stage, police reported up to 200 people to be involved in the trouble, during which a man in his 30s was seriously assaulted.
