Eight Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Carrickfergus

Eight people have been injured in multi-vehicle crash in Carrickfergus.

The collision happened near Kilroot Power Station on the main road on Sunday.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening and they remain in the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Woman Arrested In Patient Abuse Probe
A 28 year-old woman has been arrested by detectives investigating allegations of ill-treatment at Muckamore Abbey Hospital. The suspect was detained in Antrim this morning, Wednesday 18 March. It comes amid allegations of patient abuse at the facility, where people with severe learning disabilities and mental health needs are cared for.

NI Covid-19 Total Hits 45
The number of coronavirus cases in Northern Ireland has reached 45. The Department of Health confirmed on Sunday that testing has resulted in 11 new positive cases in the region. Protocols now state that people with mild symptoms- a new persistent cough and/or a fever- should self-isolate at home for seven days.

Ten Injured In Multi-Vehicle Road Crash In West Belfast
Ten people have been injured, three of them believed to be serious, following a multi-vehicle crash in west Belfast. At least five vehicles - two of them taxis - were involved in the accident on the Falls Road. Beechmount Avenue is currently closed and police are advising people to avoid the area.
