Eight Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Carrickfergus

Eight people have been injured in multi-vehicle crash in Carrickfergus.

The collision happened near Kilroot Power Station on the main road on Sunday.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening and they remain in the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two Men Arrested Following Assault In Armagh
Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault in Armagh on Tuesday, 16 January. Shortly after 2.20pm, it was reported to police that a man, aged in his 50s, has been assaulted in a house in the Ballynahone Crescent area. Officers attended and arrested two men, aged 40 and 53, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Man Arrested For Headbutting Female Police Officer
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in Newry for assaulting a police officer. While responding to a domestic related report, a local female officer was headbutted to the head, which caused swelling and bruising. The officer was seen by medical staff and her injuries were not more serious and she felt well enough to remain on duty.
