Two Men Injured In Separate Shooting Attacks

A man has been shot just outside west Belfast.

The attack happened in the Glenkeen area of Poleglass at around 10.20pm on Wednesday, 01 June.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was shot in the leg. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Sinn Féin MLA Jennifer McCann condemned the attack.

She said: "The people behind these shootings are at war with the community. Their campaign against people in their own community should end now. Anyone with information on this attack should bring it forward to the police."

Elsewhere, a man has been shot in both feet in north Belfast.

Three men forced their way into a house in the Cranbrook Gardens area at around 11.20pm on Wednesday, 01 June.

They took the victim outside and shot him in both feet, however the bullets failed to penetrate the man's footwear. He was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
