US Firm Creates 18 New Jobs In Belfast

US firm iManage has created 18 new jobs by establishing a software engineering centre in Belfast.

Ten of the jobs are already in place, with the remaining to be filled during the next quarter of 2016. Roles include architects, senior developers, junior developers and support engineers.

Invest Northern Ireland provided the company with £90,000 of support to help create the posts.

Invest NI's Chief Executive, Alastair Hamilton, said: "This project, which will see the establishment of a software engineering centre in Belfast, is highly innovative and marks a significant leap forward in the company's growth plans.

"The new centre will provide additional valuable employment to Northern Ireland's growing IT sector with 18 jobs and once all of the jobs are in place, will contribute an additional £680,000 in salaries per year to the local economy."

Geoff Hornsby, iManage's General Manager EMEA, added: "Our aim is to foster this leading edge technology team in Northern Ireland; and with support and backing from Invest NI and our globally-respected talent pool, we are well on our way."

CloudMigrator365 is to set up offices in the area and Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company £85,000 towards the new jobs. Economy Minister Simon Hamilton welcomed the announcement. A manufacturing firm in Northern Ireland has announced it is to create 80 new jobs. The new posts at the Hutchinson Group are part of a £4.1 million investment and will be based at its sites in Kilrea and Antrim.

12 New Jobs Announced For SlurryKat
Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Arlene Foster has announced expansion plans and the creation of 12 new jobs by SlurryKat in Waringstown. Slurry Kat which designs, manufacturers and exports agri-equipment for the management of farm slurry plans to recruit additional management and production staff to drive growth in international markets.
