Investigation Launched Following Attempted Robbery In L'Derry

Police have launched an investigation following an attempted robbery at a food outlet in Co L'Derry.

A young man, armed with a knife, entered a pizza shop in the New Row area just after midnight on Monday, 27 June.

He muttered something indiscernible to a member of staff before leaving.

The man is described as being aged around 20-years-old, approximately 6ft tall, slim build with ginger facial stubble.

He made off on a bicycle in the direction of Bushmills Road.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police in Co Down are seeking help tracing the whereabouts of James Lewis. The 58 year-old known locally as Jim was last sighted at Holywood train halt on Friday 01 November. Jim previously resided in the Donaghadee area and police have advised that he now has a beard and longer hair in contrast to the picture shared.

Woman In L'Derry Arrested Under Terrorism Act
A woman has been arrested in L'Derry under the terrorism act. The 63-year-old was detained in the Creggan area today, Thursday 31 October. Police said detectives made the arrest while "investigating terrorist activity earlier today". The suspect has been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite where she is being questioned by detectives.
