200 New Jobs Announced For Cork And Other Counties
Sigmar Recruitment is to create 150 new jobs, the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O'Connor, has announced.
The new jobs are part of the company's expansion plans to deliver a wider portfolio of services globally and will bolster the position of the company as Ireland's leading independent recruiter.
50 of the new roles are expected to be created by the end of this year, with another 50 by the end of 2017 and a further 50 by the end of 2018. Sigmar is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland.
The new jobs will be in recruitment, sales and digital marketing at both experienced and graduate levels with a significant number of positions available in locations outside of the capital to include Cork, Galway and Kerry.
Minister Mitchell O'Connor said: "Today's announcement that Sigmar Recruitment, a highly innovative Irish company, is creating 150 new jobs in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Kerry is great news for the country. Through our Regional Action Plan for Jobs, I am committed to ensuring jobs are created in every region in Ireland.
"These new jobs will contribute greatly to the prosperity of communities across the country. Sigmar is a great example of the type of company Enterprise Ireland is working with. I warmly congratulate Adie and his team and wish them continued success for the future."
Also in Cork, end-to-end global regulatory solutions provider Compliance & Risks, is to create 50 new jobs, Minister Simon Coveney has announced.
A majority of the jobs will be at the company's Cork headquarters in the areas of research, software development, client support, sales and account management.
Minister Coveney said: "I am delighted to announce that Compliance & Risks is creating 50 new jobs over the next three years. It's always a good day when we have an indigenous Irish company creating employment.
"This company is a perfect example of what's great about this country, with their highly skilled legal team, combined with innovative technology creating value for blue chip clients for nearly 15 years. By further strengthening its workforce and in particular, its global operations centre in Cork, the company is poised to continue its successful growth trajectory."
