Railway Line In Lurgan Reopens

A railway line between Moira and Lurgan has reopened, however a security operation remains ongoing.

The line was closed for several hours on Thursday, 04 August, following a security alert in the area.

The operation began in the Cornakinnegar Road area.

Detective inspector Adrian Brown said: "Whilst we attempt to keep disruption in the area to a minimum I would again like to thank the community for their patience and co-operation.

"I would also appeal to anyone who has noticed any suspicious activity in the Cornakinnegar Road area in recent days to contact police in Lurgan on 101."
