Teenage Cyclist Critical Following Collision
A 15-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a lorry as he cycled in Poleglass, Co Antrim.
The boy was riding his bike along Brian's Well Road at about 4pm on Monday, 15 August, when he was hit by the lorry.
He remains in a critical condition at Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital.
The Brian's Well Road and Pembrook Loop have been closed while police investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Sinn Féin MLA Jennifer McCann said: "The community has been shocked after a local teenager was seriously injured in an accident at Brians Well Road.
"He has been taken to hospital from the scene of the accident.
"I wish him a full recovery from his injuries and my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family and friends."

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Co Tyrone. The accident happened on the Strabane Road in Newtownstewart on Monday, 24 October. He is currently in intensive care at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. The road has been reopened.

Police are appealing for witnesses of a serious road accident in Maghera, Co L'Derry, on Sunday night. A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital following the two car collision on the Coleraine Road.
