Police Launch Appeal To Trace Nurse Who Helped At Scene Of Fatal Collision

Police have launched an appeal to trace a nurse who helped at the scene of a fatal road crash in Co Tyrone in July.

A man in his 20s died after a silver Peugeot he was travelling in hit a bridge on Longland Road in Donemana at approximately 7.20am on Friday, 22 July.

Another man who was also in the vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are also trying to trace the driver and passengers of a Ford Rodeo pick-up truck which they believe travelling ahead of the vehicles involved in the crash.

Inspector Colin Hamilton said: "I want to stress that these people are not under any suspicion of wrongdoing but we would very much like to speak to them as they may have important information that could assist with our investigation.

"If you were in the Ford Rodeo that day or were the nurse that stopped to help please call 101 quoting reference 204 22/07/16."

Man Stabbed During Attack In East Belfast
A man, aged in his 40's, has been stabbed during an attack in east Belfast. The victim was chased by a number of men from the Killagan Bend in the Cregagh area area, heading towards the Greenway just after 11 pm on Monday, 03 May. He was stabbed in the back and the head. A 50-year-old Belfast man has been jailed for a minimum of 22 years for the 2016 murder of prison officer Adrian Ismay. Christopher Robinson was convicted of the murder of the prison officer in January this year, and received a mandatory life sentence.

Man Charged With Over 60 Offences After Gun Incident
A man, aged 32, has been charged with over 60 offences following a gun incident in north Belfast. Two shots were fired in the Silverstream Road/ Manor Street area of the city at around 10.30am on Sunday, 02 May. There were no reports of any injuries.

Man Shot Through His Front Door In Coleraine
Police have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in Coleraine, Co L'Derry last night. Two shots were fired through the front door of a house in the Churchlands Road area at about 10.30pm on Tuesday 24 November. A man who was in the house at the time had heard at knock at the door but not opened it.
