Start Up & Grow Business Event Announced

Enterprise NI has announced a free event for pre-start, early start and growing businesses in Northern Ireland featuring world class speakers, information zones and 1-to-1 clinic opportunities.

The Start Up & Grow event is aimed at people thinking of starting a business, those who have recently started a business, and those who are growing their business. Also those needing to navigate business issues, in need of development and solutions and those looking for new contacts and advice.

Speakers due to appear at the event include:

• Rene Carayol MBE, a business guru who is a regular broadsheet columnist and a critically acclaimed television and radio presenter with the BBC and Sky News.

• Chris Martin, founder and MD of Ozaroo Retail.

• Declan McBride, co-founder of Pop Notch premium popcorn brand.

• Jenna Stevenson, founder of BITETOSAVOUR that showcases NI artisan food and drink.

• Stuart Harvey, CEO of Datactics and start-up investor.

The event will take place at the Clayton Hotel in Belfast on Thursday, 20 October.

START A BUSINESS PROGRAMME CHALKS UP 5,000TH NEW BUSINESS
Two Mallusk entrepreneurs have set up the 5000th new business to be started through the Start a Business programme, which has generated an estimated 8,250 new jobs across Northern Ireland. Oliver McErlane took part on the programme with business partner Tim Swann, before setting up their electronic marketing company, TxtFlow.
