Carrickfergus Businesses To Benefit From £230,000 Investment
Businesses in Carrickfergus are to benefit from a £220,000 investment from the Department for Communities and Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.
The funding will be used to enhance the appearance of many shops and businesses in the town.
The areas identified for support include Upper North Street, Antrim Street, High Street, Lancastrian Street and Irish Quarter West.
Communities Minister Paul Givan said: "Carrickfergus has much to offer tourists, visitors and shoppers and this investment builds on the success of other schemes funded by my Department in the town, including major public realm works.
"It is vital that we continue to develop the built environment so that Carrickfergus prospers as an attractive destination for everyone to enjoy.
"I look forward to seeing the upgrades completed and am confident that their benefits will be reflected in attracting visitors and shoppers to the town coupled with increased trade for local retailers and businesses."
