Man Critical After Being Hit By Car In Belfast

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was struck by a car near the Belfast International Airport.

The incident happened on the Ballyrobin Road just before 4.40pm on Saturday, 20 November.

The pedestrian is in a critical condition in hospital.

The Ballyrobin Road has been re-opened.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
