Two Men Killed In Co Tyrone Road Crash

Two men have died following a crash on the main road between Omagh and Ballygawley in Co Tyrone.

They have been named locally as Killian Doherty and Maurice McCloughan.

The crash occurred on the A5 Doogary Road at around 8am on Saturday, 10 December.

SDLP West Tyrone MLA Daniel McCrossan said: "The thoughts and prayers of myself and the entire community are with the family and friends of these two young men as they come to terms with this terrible loss. Most of us cannot begin to imagine how they are feeling at this time.

"Any number of deaths on our roads is too many. They can and should be prevented. I will be in contact with the PSNI to seek clarity around the circumstances of this terrible accident and do all I can to reduce the danger of this happening again."
