Man Charged Following Death Of Man In Coleraine

A 25-year-old man has been charged with Grievious Bodily Harm (GBH) following the death of a man in Coleraine.

A 56-year-old man was found dead in the Silverthorn Avenue area on Tuesday, 13 November.

The suspect has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon with intent to copmmit an indictable offence.

Police said they are no longer treating the death as suspicious following a postmortem examination.

He is due to appear before Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 15 December.

Police Appeal For Missing Coleraine Man Andrew Smith
Police are appealing for information to trace missing Coleraine man Andrew Smith. Mr Smith, 28, was last seen in the Ballysally area at around midnight. He is believed to have been driving a white Ford Focus. A PSNI spokesperson said: "We are keen to establish Andrew's whereabouts and that he is safe and well. Police can be contacted on 101.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.

Second Man Arrested Over Liverpool Hit-And-Run
A second man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run in Liverpool in which Co Antrim man Matthew Bradley was killed. The 33-year-old man was detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in Bradford. He has been conditionally bailed to appear in court in December, according to Merseyside Police.

Woman Arrested After Sudden Death Of Man In L'Derry
A woman has been arrested following the sudden death of a man in Magherafelt. A 46-year-old man died in L'Derry in the early hours of Tuesday, 05 December. Police are treating the death as suspicious. A 32-year-old woman has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.
