Elsewhere in Co Londonderry, police are investigating an attempted attack on the home of the city's mayor.

SDLP councillor, Shaun Gallagher said he saw three men, two of whom were armed, outside his Capall Court home at around midnight on Sunday.

He immediately contacted the police however the men fled before officers arrived.

It is the second time this month that Mr Gallgher's home has been targeted by armed men.

Earlier this month, one of Mr Gallagher's sons found a suspect device at the back of their house.
