Invest NI To Hold Event On Innovate UK Funding Competition
Invest NI have announced an information event on a new £15 million Innovate UK funding competition for emerging and enabling technologies.
The competition aims to help businesses innovate to find new revenue sources and is seeking a step change in business growth, productivity and export opportunities for at least one UK small and medium-sized enterprise (SME).
This call is aimed at:
• emerging technologies that show novel approaches to energy harvesting, imaging technologies, graphene or biofilms and other areas of technology
• enabling technologies that show benefits across multiple industrial sectors or markets, provide new products and services, allow new applications for existing products and services, enable new capabilities or business models
The competition opens on 6 March 2017 and closes for registration on noon 3 May 2017.

The briefing event in Northern Ireland is free to attend and will take place on 13 March 2017 at Invest NI's offices in Bedford Street, Belfast.

A new £1.2 million international cooperation feasibility studies competition has been announced by Innovate UK. Businesses across the UK aiming to create international business networks have been invited to apply for funding of up to £30,000 with Innovate UK. The funding is to enable commercial research and innovation partnerships.
