Two New Members To Be Appointed To Tourism NI Board
The Department for the Economy has launched a public appointments competition to recruit two new members to the Board of Tourism Northern Ireland (TNI).
Tourism NI is responsible for the development of Northern Ireland as a tourist destination, as well as the promotion and marketing of the region as a tourist destination within Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Individuals who have the essential skills of Financial Acumen, Governance and Performance Management, Customer Focus and Working in Partnership at a Strategic Level are encouraged to apply. No specific academic qualifications are required for the posts.
The open competition involves an application form and interview. Appointment will be based on merit against the essential criteria. Closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm on Friday, 31 March 2017.
One appointment will commence on 1 July 2017 and one on 1 February 2018, and the term of the appointment for both will be for three years.

Dungannon Company Prosecuted Following Worker's Death
Mid Ulster Contracts Limited has been fined £50,000 at Londonderry Crown Court for Health and Safety failings which led to the death of an employee.
The sentencing follows a Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland (HSENI) investigation into an incident at a construction site at Culmore Road in L'Derry on 6 November, 2014.
Phillip Fenwick was assisting in a lifting operation of a roof truss, which was being hoisted by its apex using a homemade lifting accessory. During this operation, Mr Fenwick was struck on the head by the roof truss, sustaining a fractured skull. He died the following day from his injury.
Ireland Prepare To Face Wales In Six Nations Clash
Ireland are set to face Wales in their next match of this year's Six Nations campaign.
The clash takes place at Wales' Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Friday night, 10 March. Kick-off is 8.05pm.
Ireland's starting XV remains unchanged from their 19-9 victory over France two weeks ago.
Wales have also named an unchanged starting line-up for the game.
Ireland are currently second in the competition table, while Wales are in fourth place and out of contention for silverware following back-to-back defeats by England and Scotland.
If Ireland are victorious this evening, they can set up a title decider with England in Dublin on 18 March.

Special Envoy To The US On Northern Ireland Appointed
The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland has announced the appointment of a Special Envoy to the United States on Northern Ireland. Trevor Ringland MBE will be the first Special Envoy to the United States on Northern Ireland and will be responsible for promoting Northern Ireland interests across the US.

The appointment of five Non-Executive Directors to the Board of Northern Ireland Water has been announced by Regional Development Minister, Danny Kennedy. The Minister has reappointed John Rae to the Board to serve a second term. He has been Non Executive Director of NI Water since August 2011.
