Investigation Launched After Three Sudden Deaths In Belfast

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden deaths of three men in Belfast.

All of the men died on Monday, 03 April, however the PSNI confirmed they are not investigating a link.

One man died at Riverdale Park North and another died in the Upper Springfield Road in west Belfast. The body of the other male was discovered in the Utility Street area of south Belfast.

Post mortem examinations are to be carried out to determine the cause of the deaths which are not being treated as suspicious at this time.

Sinn Féin MLA Órlaithí Flynn has said the community is in shock.

She said: "The recent tragic deaths of a number of young people across Belfast has shocked the entire city.

"My thoughts are with the family and friends of those who have died at the difficult time.

"I would call on anyone who can assist the investigation into these deaths to contact the PSNI."

Two Sudden Deaths Investigated By Police
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden deaths of two people in west Belfast. The two bodies, understood to be a man and woman, were discovered at a house in Woodside Drive in Poleglass on Thursday 20 June. Police and forensic investigators attended the scene and post-mortem examinations are expected to be carried out.

The figure was revealed in the latest report on Drug-related and drug-misuse deaths in Northern Ireland, 2010-2020, published by Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (Nisra).
