NI Water Urges Public To Obey Road Safety Signs
NI Water has issued an appeal for the public to obey all road safety signage following an incident in the Toome Road area of Ballymena.
The company, which is currently carrying out essential sewerage improvement work in the area, said it is necessary to close the road to protect the safety of the public, road-users and construction workers.
In its appeal, NI Water said: "NI Water takes all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of our sites, but we would point out that our working sites should only be accessed by trained and qualified personnel.
"We would call on the local community to be vigilant and appeal to anyone ignoring this important signage to stop immediately before they cause injury to themselves or a severe incident in their own local community."
The organisation added anyone who is aware of any incidents involving Road Safety signage should contact Waterline on 03457 440088 or the PSNI on 0845 600 8000.
