Two People Escape Serious Injury In Light Aircraft Crash

Two people have escaped serious injury following a light aircraft crash in Co Down.

The incident happened near Castlewellan Forest Park just before 5pm on Monday, 29 May.

Police confirmed two people were treated at the scene in the Dolly's Bare area, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Two people have escaped injury after a light aircraft incident in Co Down. Emergency services were alerted to an airfield in Newtownards at around 11.15am on Thursday, 23 March. A spokesperson from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said: "One Rapid Response Vehicle and one A&E crew attended.

Two people escape injury following house fire
Two people have escaped injury following a blaze at a house in Co Armagh at the weekend. A man in his 40s escaped injury following the fire in his home at Ashlea Gardens, Markethill, in the early hours of Saturday morning. He escaped through a window after he was wakened by smoke around 4am.

13.2% Of NI Young People Not In Education, Employment Or Training
An estimated 26,000 young people aged 16-24 in Northern Ireland were not in education, employment or training (NEET) between July and September 2020, according to the latest statistics. The figures is the equivalent to 13.2% of all those aged 16-24 years, and shows that the NI number is higher that the UK average of 12.4%.

Around 285,000 People Could Be Vaccinated Pending Licensing
Around 285,000 people could be vaccinated against Covid-19, if the potential new vaccine passes the next stage of trails. It is understood that NI could receive some 570,000 doses of the vaccine if it becomes licensed.
