Man Arrested After Car Crashes Into House In West Belfast

A man has been arrested after a car crashed into the front of a house in west Belfast.

The incident happened at a property on the Whiterock Road on Tuesday night, 25 July.

The vehicle crashed through the front garden wall and into the front of the house.

Extensive damage was caused and police said the Fire Service, Phoenix Gas, Clanmill Housing and vehicle recovery were just a few that attended the incident.

Two males also made off from the scene in the direction of Whiterock Grove.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

He remains in custody on suspicion of robbery, aggravated burglary and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Man Shot In Both Legs In L'Derry
A man has been shot in both legs in the latest paramilitary-style attack in L'Derry. The incident happened in the Moss Park area at around 10pm on Monday 30 September. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining gunshot wounds in both legs.
