Investigation Launched After Suspected Arson Attack In L'Derry

A woman has had to be treated in hospital after a suspected arson attack in Co L'Derry.

The incident happened at a property in the Lower Bennett Street area just after 7am on Wednesday, 16 August.

The woman, who was the only occupant in the house, was treated for smoke inhalation.

Police are treating the incident as suspected arson with intent to endanger life.

Appeal Following Stabbing Incident In Downpatrick
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a stabbing incident in Downpatrick. Police received a report shortly after 6pm on Saturday, 17th February that a man had been stabbed on a pathway in the St Dympnas Avenue area of the town.

63-Year-Old Woman Arrested Over Stabbing In Antrim
A 63-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in Antrim on Friday, 26 January. Shortly after 5.10am police received a report that a man, aged in his 40s, had been stabbed at a property in the Firmount Drive area of the town. He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment to stab wounds to his upper body area.

Mobile Classrooms Destroyed In Suspected Arson Attack
Five mobile classrooms have been destroyed in a suspected arson attack in Belfast. The incident happened in the Barrack Street area on Monday, 11 June. Police and the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service attended the scene and put out the blaze. Thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused.
