Police Appeal For Information On Craigavon Stabbing

Police have appealed for information following a stabbing incident in Craigavon on Thursday 24 August.

Police were made aware that a man had suffered serious stab wounds and was being treated by Craigavon A&E department.

The man is said to have been stabbed in the neck and police believe he may have been attacked from behind.

Police added that they believe the incident occurred sometime around 4pm on Russell Drive, but said that it could have taken place in the area of Edward Street, including Hill Street and the side roads in between.

In a PSNI statement, police said that the "victim appears to have been hit by a cowardly cheap shot from behind".

Anyone with information about the attack is urged to contact police on the non emergency number 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
