Pedestrian Killed In South Belfast Road Crash

A male pedestrian has died in a serious road traffic collision in south Belfast.

The man was hit by a car on the Saintfield Road in the Carryduff area at around 1.45pm on Thursday, 31 August.

The Saintfield Road at the junction with the Baronscourt Road was closed for some time, however it has now been reopened.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Arson Attack On Church In South Belfast
A Presbyterian Church has been targeted in an arson attack in south Belfast. The attack happened at the Saintfield Road Presbyterian Church in the early hours of Sunday morning, 24 July. A significant amount of damage was caused and police said "a sectarian motive is only one of a number of lines of enquiry".

Two Men Arrested In £500,000 Drug Seiure In South Belfast
Two men have been arrested in connection with a £500,000 drug seizure following searches in South Belfast. On Friday, 01 March, detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch stopped and searched two vehicles in the Lisburn Road area. Class B controlled drugs were recovered from both vehicles which were also subsequently seized.
