2017 Cinemagic Festival Launches

The annual Cinemagic Film and Television Festival, which takes place from 06 October until the 08 November has officially launched,

More than 200 films will be shown during the festival, which also will feature dozens of workshops and other creative opportunities to inspire young people.

Lord Mayor Nuala McAllister said: "Cinemagic provides hope, aspiration, training and skills for young people entering the workforce and Belfast City Council is pleased to fund this organisation which not only stimulates economic growth and creativity in young people, but also promotes Belfast globally through its internationally acclaimed film projects.

"Cinemagic 2017 will be a highlight on the annual Belfast Festival events calendar for children and young people, and families - and this programme is an example of the impressive cultural offering provided by this city for all ages."

Cinemagic Teens For LA Film Festival
Two teenagers from Belfast are preparing for a trip of a lifetime to Los Angeles at the end of next month, where a short film that they produced, will be screened at a special reception. The visit to the US's filmmaking capital is part of Belfast-based Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival's second USA festival programme.
