Woman Dies Following Crash Outside Ballymena

A woman, aged in her 60s, has died following a collision just outside Ballymena last week.

Jean Wilkinson was the passenger in a Skoda Fabia that collided with a Honda Civic on the Lisnevenagh Road A26 dual carriageway on Tuesday, 10 October.

The driver and another passenger were treated in hospital for minor injuries.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "I'm appealing to anyone who was on the Lisnevenagh Road around the time of the collision and witnessed what occurred to get in touch with us.

"We're also appealing to anyone who was travelling on the road at the time and may have Dash Cam footage they believe could assist with our investigation to contact police in Ballymena on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference 1004 10/10/17."

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision on the Belfast Road on Thursday evening. Woman Dies In Newtownards Road Collision
An 18-year-old woman has died in a road crash in Newtownards, County Down. The woman was driving a silver Peugeot when it collided with a blue Audi on the Portaferry Road on Sunday at about 20:30. The male driver and a passenger of the Audi were taken to hospital for treatment, but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
