Police Seek Convicted Murderer Stephen Henry

Police are seeking the whereabouts of a convicted murderer who did not return to Magilligan Prison after a day release.

Stephen Henry, 41, was permitted to see his family on Monday, 30 October, however he failed to return.

He was last seen in the Craigavon area on Monday at around 3.45pm.

Police believe he may be in the Craigavon or Belfast areas.

He is described as being 5ft 10inches in height, of medium build with short brown hair. He has tattoos on both upper arms and scars on his forehead and left ear.

The public is being urged not to approach him but to contact the PSNI immediately.

Detective Sergeant McColgan said he has a history of violence.

He said: "I would ask Mr Henry to hand himself in to the authorities without any further delay and ask anyone who knows of his current whereabouts or who has any information to contact police on 999."

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Teenager Arrested After Two Police Officers Injured In Belfast
A 16-year-old girl has been arrested after two police officers were injured as trouble flared in Belfast overnight. Petrol bombs and masonry were thrown at the officers in the Woodvale Road area at around 12.50am on Wednesday. No petrol bombs made contact, however two police officers were injured after bottles were thrown at them.
