Investigation Launched After Man Assaulted In North Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after a man was attacked in north Belfast.
The assault happened in the Cliftonpark Avenue area at around 7pm on Wednesday, 01 November.
The victim, aged 30, was approached by two males in the area. One of the men asked him for a cigarette and when he said he didn't have any the men stabbed him in the leg and assaulted him.
The man was taken to hospital to be treated, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
PSNI Constable McHale said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact police at Tennent Street Station on 101 quoting incident number 802 of the 1st November 2017.
"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Suspected Firearm Recovered During PSNI Operation In Ardmore

During a search in the Rushall Road area, the suspected firearm was located in the vicinity of a graveyard. Enquiries continue, and the suspected firearm will now be the subject of forensic testing.

Appeal After Masked Men Force Entry Into Home Of Elderly Man
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.
