Call For Dog Owners To Be Vigilant After Anti-Freeze Found In Food

Dog owners are being warned to be vigilant after anti-freeze was found in dog food along the Comber Greenway in Belfast.

The discovery was made at the Barnets Road end, just before the Police Headquarters.

One dog is very sick after consuming the food.

Gareth Wright from the Comber Greenway Campaign called for dog owners to keep dogs on leads.

Posting on Facebook, he wrote: "I will keep this page updated with anymore information that comes my way. This can be fatal if consumed by your pet.

"Please share with friends and family who may use the Comber Greenway. And if anyone comes across this substance, contact me personally on 07516031093 due the the lack of volunteers it's hard for us to respond back to messages. If you know someone who is not on Facebook, call them and make them aware."
