Pensioner Killed In Co Down Collision Named

A pensioner who died after being hit by a car in Co Down has been named.

James Fisher, aged 78, was killed in the collision on the Glebe Road in Annahilt on Tuesday, 21 November.

He died from his injuries in hospital on Wednesday, 22 November.

The crash involved a red Volvo C30 and the driver was spoken to by the police.

An investigation has been launched.

Weekend road victim named
Police have released the name of a 44-year old man who was killed in a road traffic incident at the weekend. Jim Donaghy, from the Donegal Road area of South Belfast, died after the motorbike he was driving was in collision with a car on Sunday afternoon. The incident happened at around 2.30pm in the Temple area of Carryduff.

Motorcycle Road Crash Victim Named
Police have named a 42-year-old man who died after a road accident on the M2 near Belfast on Monday afternoon. Eamon Farrelly from Belfast was involved in the three-vehicle collision at the Dunsilly off-slip on the northbound lane while riding his motorcycle. He was taken to hospital after the collision on Monday afternoon.

Motorcyclist killed in road collision
A motorcyclist has died following a road traffic collision in County Down. The accident occurred on the Comber Road in Hillsborough shortly after 3:30pm on Sunday and the victim has been named as 29-year-old Ben Clark from east Belfast. Another motorcyclist was treated for shock, however he did not receive any injuries.

Police have released the name of the one-year-old baby girl who died following a road traffic collision in County Tyrone yesterday morning. Rebecca Emilie Gault, from Castleview Park in Newtownstewart, was fatally injured during the crash between her mother's car and a van on the Deerpark Road in the town.

Motorcyclist fatality named
A motorcyclist who died in hospital following a road traffic collision in Co Antrim last week has been named. Raymond Donnelly, 35, from Ballymena, was on his motorcycle when it was involved in a collision with a Daihatsu Four Track vehicle on the Moorfields Road in the town last Friday. He died in hospital on Sunday.

Northern Ireland’s roads claim three lives
Three people have died on the roads in Northern Ireland over the last two days. A seven-year-old girl died when she was struck by a bus in the Shankill area of west Belfast at about 7.40pm on Thursday. She was named as Kirsty Gawley, from the Shankill area. In a separate incident, a woman died when her car left the road and crashed into a field.

Driver killed as car collides with lamppost
A 22-year-old man has been killed in a road traffic accident in Belfast. The accident occurred on the King's Road in Knock area shortly before midnight on Monday October 28. The man, who has not yet been named, died when his car struck a lamppost. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident.

Three killed in separate road accidents
Three people have been killed in separate road accidents over the weekend. In Co Antrim a 16-year-old girl died in a crash on the Drumbare Road in Cloughmills at about 2am on Sunday, followed by the death of an 18-year-old man after an accident near Ballymena just a few hours later. The victims have been named as Pauline McDonald and Paul Harris.

Two people have died on Northern Ireland's roads in the past two days. A man has died after being hit by a car in Co Down early this morning. The 33-year-old pedestrian, who has not yet been named, was struck by the vehicle on the Downpatrick Road in Ardglass at around 3am on Friday.

Two NI Men Who Died On A Construction Site In Australia Named
Two men from Northern Ireland who died on a construction site in Australia have been named as Joe McDermott and Gerard Bradley. Mr Bradley from Portstewart and Mr McDermott from Omagh were crushed by a concrete slab in Perth on Wednesday morning. The men were both in their 20s. Mr Bradley was a member of the Eoghan Rua GAA club.

Couple Who Died At Caravan Park Named
Two bodies discovered at a caravan park in Newcastle, County Down, have been confirmed as Francie and Nan O'Reilly. The bodies of the retired couple were found in their caravan at Bonnys caravan park on Tullybrannigan Road at about at about 15:00 on Wednesday afternoon. Police remained at the scene on Thursday morning.

Man Killed In Co Fermanagh Road Crash Named
A pensioner killed in a road collision in Co Fermanagh has been named as Patrick James McGeough. He died in a two-vehicle crash on the A3 Cavan Road near Newtownbutler at around 2.25pm on Saturday, 03 August. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man in his 40s died in a road crash in Co L'Derry.

Motorcyclist Killed In Larne Crash Named
A motorcyclist killed in a road traffic crash in Larne has been named. Trevor Black, 55, died following a collision between a Yamaha XT and a Jeep Renegade on the Coast Road at around 11am on Sunday 24 June. The driver of the Jeep suffered injuries to his arm and was treated at the scene.
