Lisburn woman injured during burglary

Police are appealing for information after a woman was injured during a burglary at her home in Co Antrim this morning.

Three men were involved in the incident which occured in the woman's home in Pond Park, Lisburn at around 5am on Thursday morning. The woman, who is reported to be in her 50's, is being treated in hospital for two fractured cheek bones.

Elsewhere, a teenager has suffered two fractured ankles, a broken arm and multiple puncture wounds after being beaten by a gang armed with iron bars.

The paramilitary style attack occurred in the Westway area of Londonderry at around 10pm on Wednesday.

A vulnerable 94 year-old lady lost a significant sum of cash when her Co Down home was ransacked while she slept. Burglars targeted the house in Avoca Lawns, Warrenpoint at sometime between 5pm and 8pm on Wednesday evening, 30 October. The elderly victim was resting in bed at the time.

Man Robbed At Knife Point At Belfast Station
A man has been left shaken after he was robbed at knifepoint on Monday evening. Police said the incident took place at Yorkgate Railway Station at around 11pm. An unknown male, wearing a grey hooded top and wielding a small flick-type knife, approached the victim and demanded money.

Two Dead In Co Antrim Collisions
Two people have died in hospital after separate road traffic collisions in Co Antrim. An 88 year-old man named as Daniel Louden from Ballymoney was injured in a one-vehicle crash on the Frosses Road, Ballymoney at around 8am on Friday 08 November. He died in hospital on Saturday night.

Appeal Follows Spate Of Burglaries In Co Antrim
A link between three burglaries in the Co Antrim town of Ballycastle is being investigated, police have said. The spate of break-ins took place on Monday evening, 28 October, beginning in the Leyland Park area. Entry was gained to a house at around 6.35pm, while another house in the same park was ransacked at sometime between 3.30pm and 8.10pm.
