Nominations Open For Annual Belfast Sports Awards

Nominations have opened for the annual Belfast Sports Awards.

The awards celebrate the rachievements of Belfast’s sports people. They also pay tribute to the efforts of our coaches, volunteers, mentors, teachers and parents who help make Belfast a healthy and active city.

Nominations are now being invited in a number of categories:

• Coach Of The Year;

• Volunteer Of The Year;
News Image
• Team Of The Year, in both junior and senior categories;

• Sports Personality Of The Year, in both junior and senior categories;

• Sporting Hall Of Fame;

• Pathway To Clubs; and

• Healthy Lifestyle.

Closing date for nominations is 19 February and the awards ceremony will be held on Friday 23 March.

CIPR Journalism Awards In Full
Deric Henderson of the Press Association has been awarded the Journalist of the Year title The Belfast Telegraph lifted the title for Coca-Cola CIPR Newspaper of the Year, and the BBC's Spotlight Programme won the Coca-Cola CIPR Scoop of the Year and the Coca-Cola CIPR Current Affairs Programme of the Year for its Irish Robinson Investigation.
