Architectural accolade for University of Ulster
The University of Ulster is one of the UK's top architectural technology education providers, according to the British Institute of Architectural Technologists (BIAT).
Professor Alastair Adair, Head of the School of the Build Environment, said the accreditation represented national UK-level recognition of the excellence of their courses.
BSc Architecture Technology degrees - delivered at the Jordanstown campus - began at the University in 1995 and according to course director Herbie Mawhinney, its graduates are in high demand.
“This accreditation from BIAT puts us in the forefront of architectural technology education in the UK, and is a tribute to the quality of our staff - and the effort they have put in to reach this outstanding level of professionalism," he said.
BIAT spokesman Colin Orr added: “ It is very gratifying for a professional body to be able to acknowledge excellence, especially in the academic cornerstone of its profession. The staff delivering these courses are all to be thanked for their support – and congratulated for their achievement.”
