Man escapes injury in gun attack
A man has escaped injury after a number of shots were fired through the window of his flat in Portadown, Co Armagh last night.
The incident occurred at around 11pm on Wednesday as the man lay in bed watching television at his Ardress Park home in Portadown.
Police are currently investigating the motive for the attack, however they do not believe it was sectarian.
Elsewhere, a 26-year-old man has been shot in a paramilitary style attack in north Belfast on Wednesday. The man was abducted by three men at around 8.30pm before being taken to the Westland park area of the city where he was shot on the lower right leg.
Detectives have appealed for anyone with information on the incidents to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Man Shot In L'Derry
A man has been injured in a paramilitary style attack in L'Derry. The incident happened in the Glenowen Park area just after 9pm on Wednesday, 29 March. The victims was shot in both legs and he is being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police Appeal After Shots Fired At Car In L'Derry
Police are appealing for information after shots were fired at a parked car in Dungiven, L'Derry. The attack happened just after 10pm on Monday in the Hass Park area. According to police, a man wearing a hooded top fired two shots at the parked car, which was empty at the time of the incident.

Man Arrested Over Paramilitary-Style Shooting In L'Derry
A man has been arrested in connection with a paramilitary-style shooting in Co L'Derry. A 33-year-old man was shot in the legs and abdomen in the Lisfannon Park area on Tuesday, 08 August. Police described the assault as "brutal and horrific". The 43-year-old suspect was detained in L'Derry on Tuesday, 15 August.
