Two men arrested following filling station robbery
Two men have been arrested after being caught robbing a petrol station in north Belfast last night.
The incident occurred at a filling station on the Antrim Road at around 11pm on Thursday.
The robbers were attempting to steal money and cigarettes when a member of the public alerted a passing police patrol to the incident.
The two men, one of whom brandished a gun during the incident, were detained at the scene.

Police link hostage incident to attack on police station
Police have linked a gun attack on a police station on Wednesday night with a hostage incident in Co Antrim. A van used in the shooting of Randalstown PSNI station on Wednesday evening is believed to have been the vehicle stolen earlier in the evening from a family who were held hostage by a gang of men at a house in Craigstown Road in the town.

Police are searching for a three-man gang who are believed to be responsible for three robberies in under an hour. At around 6pm yesterday, three men entered a service station at Nutts Corner, on the Belfast Road in County Antrim and threatened staff.

A pregnant mother and her 11-year-old daughter have been left badly shaken after their car was hijacked at a petrol station on the outskirts of Belfast last night. The woman's daughter was ordered out of her mother's car by two youths who forced their way into the vehicle at a filling station on the Antrim Road, Glengormley.

Two Arrested In Connection With Dissident Republican Activity Released
Two men arrested in connection with dissident republican activity have been released. The pair, aged 31 and 22, were arrested in Co L'Derry on Thursday, 31 March. They were questioned at a police station in Belfast. The pair were released unconditionally.
