Pedestrian Seriously Injured In L'Derry Collision

A man in his 80s has been seriously injured in a road collision in Co L'Derry.

He was hit by a grey-coloured Peugeot people carrier vehicle in the Bishops Street area on Saturday, 17 March.

The elderly man sustained serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.

A 53-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Boy Critical Following Crash In Enniskillen
An 11-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital following a collision between a car and a van in Enniskillen. Two men were also seriously injured in the incident which happened on the Lough Shore Road on Wednesday afternoon. The driver of the car, 23, and the 47-year-old van driver are being treated in hospital.

A man was left seriously ill in hospital today after a road accident this morning outside Larne. The 23-year-old man was travelling cityward along the Larne Road when he was involved in a collision with a skip lorry at around 6.50am. He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital.

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being found unconscious at a house in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The man was discovered at a property in the Dunclug Gardens area on Tuesday, 18 October. Co Antrim man Mark Allen has claimed a Masters title with a 10 - 7 victory over Kyren Wilson at Alexandra Palace, London. He is the third player from NI to scoop the title and the first since Denis Taylor over 30 years ago. The world number eight also pocketed the £200,000 prize money as well as the Paul Hunter trophy.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Arson Released On Bail
A man arrested on suspicion of arson in Finaghy has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Two people were rescued from a blaze at a house in the area on Sunday, 07 January. The fire was reported at around 2.30am and emergency services attended the scene. A 32-year-old man and a woman in her 60s were rescued from the property.

A man has been seriously injured after he was hit by a car in Lisburn. It happened on the Prince William Road at around 1pm on Friday. Police said one vehicle was involved in the incident. The pedestrian was taken to hospital and his injuries are described as "serious".

A man has been killed and two others injured in a road accident in County Antrim. The collision on Friday October 12 at a junction on the Ballyrickard Road, involved a car and a transit van, said the police. The male driver of the car, who was 32, died at the scene and two men in the van were injured.

Man Seriously Assaulted In Co Antrim
A 25-year-old man has been seriously attacked in Co Antrim. The assault occurred in the Hampton Crescent area in Larne at around 12.35am on Saturday. Five masked men armed with baseball bats attacked the victim and he sustained fractures to his arm and leg. He is currently being treated in hospital.
