Teen Arrested After Man Threatened With Knife In Bangor

A teenager has been arrested after a man allegedly had a knife held to his throat at a shop in Bangor.

A man, aged in his 60's, was working in a shop in the Albert Street area at around 4.10pm on Wednesday, 28 March, when the incident happened.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The suspect held the blade to the victim's throat, demanding money but fled when the victim refused.

"A short time later a male matching the suspect's description was detained while attempting to steal a bicycle in the Crosby Street area."

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Two questioned following stabbing
A man has been stabbed in the throat, ear and hands in a knife attack in County Down. The man, aged 27, was attacked at around 9.30pm on Sunday in the South Street area of Newtownards. He made his way to a house in Holywood and was then taken to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

Spend Local card holders are being urged to make sure they check the balance left on their cards and to spend every penny of the balance. Man Shot In Legs In Co Armagh
A man has been shot in both legs in Co Armagh. A group of men forced their way into a house in the Meadowbank area of Craigavon and dragged the victim outside and shot him in both legs. The incident happened on Thursday night. The 26-year-old man has is being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police issue appeal following knife attack
Police have appealed for information about a serious assault in Londonderry, which resulted in a man receiving 16 stitches to his throat. The 32-year-old man was walking along Westland Street when two men confronted him around 2.30 on Thursday June 13. One pushed him and the other grabbed him from behind and put a knife against his throat.
