Wires Cut And CCTV Destroyed In ATM Robbery In Co Down
Thieves have stolen around £17,500 from a cash machine at a shop in Mayorbridge, Co Down.
Police have said that some time between 3am and 4am, thieves cut electrical wires running to the Costcutter shop on Hilltown Road and destroyed CCTV cameras before cutting a hole in the roof of the building.
Approximately £17,500 was then stolen from an ATM in shop.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or anyone with information about the robbery has been asked to contact police.

Belfast Marathon Successful, Despite Poor Weather
Around 17,500 people took to Belfast's streets yesterday for the 2009 26-mile marathon. The number of competitors marked a new record for the annual event with, among the professionals, runners from Kenya, Ukraine, north America and eastern Europe taking up pole position outside Belfast City Hall for the early 9am start.

Businesses Damaged By Blaze In Portstewart
An investigation has launched after a number of businesses were damaged by a blaze in The Diamond in Portstewart. The alarm was raised at 5am on Monday, however fire crews were called back at around 9.30am. A chip shop, coffee shop and hairdressers were damaged as a result. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

Sportswear and electrical goods stolen from warehouse
A large quantity of new sportswear has been stolen along with a quantity of electrical goods, during a burglary at a warehouse at North Street. The thieves broke in through a skylight sometime between Friday at 5pm and Monday morning.

Shop assistants threatened at gunpoint
Police are appealing for information after two shop assistants were threatened by armed men in south Belfast last night. The men entered the shop on the Upper Malone Road at around 8.30pm and threatened staff with a handgun and knife. One of those threatened was a 16-year-old female.

Multiple Arrests Made Following South Armagh Burglaries
Multiple men have been arrested following a series of burglaries and thefts in south Armagh, police have announced. A 21 year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of burglary from a dwelling and theft of a vehicle, has been released on conditional bail to allow for further police enquiries. At the time of the arrest the man was aged 20.
