Dark Hedges Damaged In Storm Hector

The world famous Dark Hedges have been damaged by winds of up to 60mph during Storm Hector.

A number of the beech trees on the Bregagh Road near Armoy lost branches during gales overnight on Wednesday and Thursday.

The tunnel of trees, planted by the Stuart family more than 200 years ago, have become a major tourist attraction after being used in the hit TV series Game of Thrones.

Two of the famous trees collapsed in 2016 during Storm Gertrude, while others have lost branches due to rot.
