Two Men Arrested In Connection With Firearm And Drug Seizure

Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force have arrested two men in Newtownards.

The arrests were made under the Terrorism Act following the discovery of a gun and ammunition, along with a quantity of cannabis, at a house in the town.

Police said that they believe seizures are linked to loyalist paramilitaries.

Two men, aged 24 and 72, remain in custody at Musgrave Serious Crime Suite.
