Culture Night Belfast To Expand To New City Quay's Development
Culture Night Belfast is expanding to the new City Quays development as part of plans to make it even bigger and better this year.
Organisers are are expecting a record 115,000 people to attend almost 300 events at over 100 different venues.
The principal corporate sponsor of Culture Night Belfast is Belfast Harbour.
In addition to more events, Culture Night 2018, which takes place on Friday 21 September, is expanding its geographic reach to include Belfast’s regenerated waterfront.
Susan Picken, Director of the Cathedral Quarter Trust, said: "We're hugely excited about having Belfast Harbour back on board for another year. Culture Night is all about showcasing the very best of Belfast, and with the help of our principal corporate sponsor we can do just that whilst also expanding our reach across the city to include its fantastic new waterfront.
"We're raring to go for our tenth year and thanks to the support of Belfast Harbour we’re looking forward to laying on the biggest single cultural celebration the city has ever seen."
Jenni Barkley, Belfast Harbour’s Corporate Responsibility and Communications Manager, added: "Belfast Harbour has a long tradition of supporting the arts and we’re delighted to continue our support for Culture Night which is always one of the city’s annual highlights.
"This year we're really looking forward to hosting a variety of events at City Quays which has transformed this part of Belfast. The waterfront will provide a great backdrop to the street performers and Culture Night will be a perfect opportunity to enjoy this new part of the city centre."

SS Nomadic to return to Belfast in July

Former City Airport chief joins Harbour Commissioners
The former head of Belfast City Airport has been appointed Chief Executive of Belfast Harbour Commissioners. John Doran, who oversaw the construction of the new £20 million terminal at Belfast City, replaces Gordon Irwin who retired from Belfast Harbour Commissioners the end of last year.
