Woman Dragged Behind Divis Tower In Attempted Robbery

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after a woman was dragged behind Divis Tower in an attempted robbery.

At about 5.20am on Wednesday, 08 August, a woman was walking past Divis Tower in West Belfast when she was approached by three men. The woman was pushed to the ground before the men dragged her to the rear of the tower and attempted to steal her bag. The men fled the scene on foot.

The woman suffered an injury to her leg.

Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has information that could assist police enquiries to contact police at Woodbourne on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 218 08/08/18.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Investigation Launched Following Fatal Crash In Co Antrim
Police have launched an investigation following a fatal crash in Co Antrim. The collision, between a bus and a car, happened in Randalstown at around 2.45pm on Sunday, 11 February. A 58-year-old woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in the incident. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Woman Sexually Assaulted In Omagh
Police have appealed for information after a 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Omagh. The attack is thought to have happened in a walkway in the Johnston Park area between 1am and 3am on Sunday (30 November). Detectives want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may be able to assist the investigation.
