Teenager Abducted And Attacked In Newtowabbey

A teenager has been injured after being abducted and attacked in Newtownabbey.

The 14-year-old boy sustained bruising to his face and body during the assault which happened on the O'Neill Road on Saturday, 04 August, at around 9pm.

Three men approached the victim and bundled him into the back of his car.

The boy was assaulted inside the car, which was driven to Camross Park in the Rathcoole Estate. He was let out of the car and the men attacked him again.

Detective Sergeant Lyttle said: "One of the men was described as being around 6’1” tall, of medium build with a deep, broad Belfast accent, who was wearing a light blue short sleeved top and dark jeans. The boy, who was left badly shaken after the incident, suffered extensive bruising to his face, head and body."

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two Men Appear In Court Charged With L'Derry Murder
Two men have appeared at L'Derry Magistrates' Court charged with the murder of a 52-year-old man. Two women have been attacked by a gang of men during a car hijacking in west Belfast. The women, in their 50s, were sitting in a Vauxhall Astra in McDonnell Street at around 1.30am on Friday. Men Arrested Over Teenager's Murder
Two men have been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of 19-year-old Jason McGovern. Mr McGovern, of Tydavnet in County Monaghan, was punched at a pub on John Street, Omagh, on Sunday. He was then attacked again some time later at the Cunningham Terrace car park, before making his way to a friend’s house in Mullan village near Emyvale.

Man attacked during armed robbery in Newtownabbey
Detectives in Newtownabbey have appealed for information following an armed robbery last night. Shortly after 8pm, a financial collection agent, who had just got into his car in a car park in the Ballyduff area of the town, was approached by two masked men, one armed with a handgun and the other brandishing a hammer.
