Teenager Abducted And Attacked In Newtowabbey

A teenager has been injured after being abducted and attacked in Newtownabbey.

The 14-year-old boy sustained bruising to his face and body during the assault which happened on the O'Neill Road on Saturday, 04 August, at around 9pm.

Three men approached the victim and bundled him into the back of his car.

The boy was assaulted inside the car, which was driven to Camross Park in the Rathcoole Estate. He was let out of the car and the men attacked him again.

Detective Sergeant Lyttle said: "One of the men was described as being around 6’1” tall, of medium build with a deep, broad Belfast accent, who was wearing a light blue short sleeved top and dark jeans. The boy, who was left badly shaken after the incident, suffered extensive bruising to his face, head and body."

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man And Woman Jailed For 'Brutal And Senseless Attack'
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of two people at Laganside Crown Court for a range of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, threats to kill, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon. 26-year-old Dylan Black, from the Lisburn area, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He will serve three years on license.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In Rostrevor
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Rostrevor on Sunday, 31 March. At around 9pm, police received a report that man, aged in his 20s, had received serious head injuries after he fell to the ground following an altercation at a licensed premises in the Bridge Street area.
